A rare, autographed piece of music history! The 10 song Pre-Hazel Tapes - These 1993 live recordings were captured in a single afternoon at Mirror Image Studios in Gainesville. It was long before the world knew them as Sister Hazel. Just Ken & Drew, one mic, analog tape, and a handful of cover songs recorded to land gigs.
Excellent CD by Sister Hazel founders from the demo cassette they made before the band was formed. Liner notes great. It will be a prized part of my Sister Hazel collection.
Great CD of covers by Ken and Drew when they were starting out. The harmonies were as good then as they still are today. The song that they chose were refreshing and not normal covers like Freebird and Brown Eyed Girl...lol. They all seem to have some personal connection to Ken and Drew like Tom Petty's Southern Accents where they come from in Petty's hometown of Gainesville. They also chose songs that capitalize and display the great harmonies that you find in Sister Hazel's original music, This is a fun, well done, well thought out choice of covers.
What a gem! Love it!
This CD is great. These are some of the songs the 50-something crowd grew up with. More than anything you hear the authenticity that carried Ken and Drew to so many amazing things in their career with Sister Hazel. I love it.
